Lap Challenge app for iPhone and iPad

The Lap Challenge app has been designed to allow you to easily upload your times to the Lap Challenge site.

You can use the app to search for one of our pre-determined courses, manually upload a time or use the GPS function of your iPhone to record a real time live lap as you run.

This will show you your current pacespeed and your elapsed time so you know how close you are to your personal best!

On completion of your lap you can automatically upload to Lap Challenge or if you choose you can discard your lap. Only your fastest lap is shown in the league table so uploading is a great way of tracking your progress.

The app also allows you to view the league tables and challenge others.

The idea of the Lap Challenge site is very simple. We have pre-determined courses (laps) on the site that registered users can upload their running and cycling lap times into. Users times are then displayed on the site in a league table format with the fastest over any particular course displayed at the top of the league.

If they choose to, registered users have the opportunity to challenge another user to a race over one of these courses. The unique “challenge me” function can even be used as a way to find someone of a similar (or better!) ability in your local area to train with.

Users can opt out of “accepting challenges” so can simply use the site to record their training progress over a particular course.


All users that upload times into the league table will have the ability to win prizes via the Lap Challenge “Rewards Scheme”. Registered users that do upload will be entered into the monthly draw to win a prize for either the fastest lap, most laps, most challenges and most improved.

The idea of Lap Challenge is that ALL users have the option to win something for their efforts.

Current courses are based in around London but this will be expanded on very soon.
